hi, is there any way that hp omen 15 laptop with serial number: [edit] could be a fake (It was bought in Sweden)?

I'm buying a used laptop and it had 1 year warranty (I dont know if that's normal) which is already expired. Also it has windows 10 and from the photo I can see that on the screen it says "activate windows 10" and again I don't know if that's normal.

So is there any way that it could be a fake?

Hello @kaviulis

I dont think the actual PC itself is fake. Its just out of warranty. But I cannot guarantee anything.

Not sure what photo you are looking at that shows Activate Windows 10, but it was probably reloaded with Windows and never connected to the internet to activate the product key.

Personally if I buy a used PC, I would reinstall Windows myself, then I know I have a clean install.

You can use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool and download a copy from Microsoft directly from another computer, then create a USB installer.  Create media Windows 10

You can download any drivers afterward from HP directly, but most drivers will install directly from Windows updates now.

The Omen command center will need to be downloaded from the MS Store...

Get OMEN Command Center - Microsoft Store

Then go to Windows updates and manually search for any updates again, to make it work.

Thank you very much, this was very helpful. Also do you think it is worth buying this laptop for 500 euros. The laptop is a bit more than 1 year old?

I live in the USA so Im not familiar with euros. But if its about half what it went for new, its a pretty good deal.

The one thing that might be an issue is the battery life.  You wont really know how much life is left on it.

HP doesnt sell the batteries for them either. You would have to look to a third party seller if one was needed.

But if your gaming, you should game while plugged into the AC charger anyways. Otherwise the system throttles the power on battery only and it wont perform games very well.

Battery part number is 917724-855 if you have to search for one.
