Product: Omen 15

Hi @ll,

 

has anyone of you an Omen 15 with RTX 2060 AND Core i5-8300H?

Would like to know how loud your fans get on idle and load (or during gaming) as it interests me whether the Core i5 Omens are somewhat quieter compared to the i7 ones?

 

Couldn't find any review or forum comment on this so far, probably as most of the users generally opt for core i7.

@MichaelMike , welcome to the forum.

 

I believe that you are correct that most buyers of an Omen get the i7.  I have had three of the Omen laptops (i7's) beginning with one of the very first ones.  In fact, it had not even been released to the public when I did the review.  I am an avid gamer and have never had any problem with fan noise.  Noise of any kind is truly in the eye of the beholder.  It would be difficult to tell you if there would be a difference with the i5.  Personally, I don't believe that it would be much less, if any.
