HP OMEN - 15-ce086ttx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello Hp support community! soo i've recently gotten this issue with my laptop fans in the sense that they don't function properly compared to the first month or so of me using the laptop.

the issues that are notiacble are:

Fans suddenly ramp up when starting laptop up from sleep mode

Fans will randomly ramp up to the highest possible setting regardless of pc temperature (i checked)

Fans will also stay at a high setting unless i give a gentle knock on the upper middle portion of the laptop

Lastly, fans are no longer able to be controlled through the HP omen control program. Before, i was able to change the fan speeds from normal - faster - maximum through the program. however, as of a month from today, the fans aren't responding to the program's settings..

i'm not sure if this is a software or hardware issue as i haven't dropped my laptop and have taken slightly above average care aside from scratches on the lid of the laptop.

Hoping to hear from support soon! thanks in advance

Additional info:

Warranty is provided from the Reseller (though sometimes when i check hp's support program it changes from expired to 7 months or so remaining to "warranty provided by reseller")

Laptop has minor amounts of dust on the bottom vents and is noticeable but shouldnt be a burden on the laptop fans

To properly ventilate the computer, allow at least 7.6 cm (3 in) of clearance on the left side
of the computer. The computer uses an electric fan for ventilation. The fan is controlled by a temperature
sensor and is designed to turn on automatically when high-temperature conditions exist. These conditions
are affected by high external temperatures, system power consumption, power management/battery
conservation configurations, battery fast charging, and software requirements. Exhaust air is displaced
through the ventilation grill located on the left side of the computer.

Lastly, try running a system diagnostics test on your PC and check if the hardware components on your PC are functioning correctly.
