Hi , I want to ask you all about the issue of file explorer's "working on it" issue.

I have tried each and every thing restarting file explorer to delete it's recent logs and many others , but nothing helped I am tired of this . Only restarting the laptop solves it but just after 1 - 2 minutes ,  it reappears. Mine laptop is running on win11 24H2 (Victus 15, Ryzen 5 5600H , Rtx 3050 4GB). Did it happen with anyone else in the past ? If yes please guide me to fix it up .

@ROSHAN__MISHRA, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding that endless “Working on it…” spinner!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I can imagine how frustrating it must be to stare at that endless “Working on it…” spinner instead of your files actually showing up. Let’s try a few things that usually calm File Explorer down on Windows 11:

Clear File Explorer history

Open Control Panel > File Explorer Options → click Clear under Privacy.

Switch folder optimization

Right-click on the affected folder (like Downloads) → Properties > Customize tab → set “Optimize this folder for” to General items → tick Also apply to subfolders → Apply.

Check indexing

Type Indexing Options in search → make sure Downloads (or the folder stuck) is included. If not, add it.

Disable Quick Access recent items

In File Explorer Options, under Privacy, uncheck both “Show recently used files” and “Show frequently used folders.”

System check

Run a quick sfc /scannow in Command Prompt (Admin) to repair any corrupted files.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
