Does your laptop battery charge only when the laptop is turned off? Click here to view the solution

i bought my laptop in july this year and I just checked the cpu and gpu (i5-13420h and rtx 4050 6gb) of the laptop at that time but recently i was browsing through the flipkart and saw my laptop there again, it was mentioned as a 75w tgp over there I wanted to check that and to my disappointment the maximum tgp push is only 50w and flipkart was false advertising it, I've contacted them and asked for a replacement with a genuine 75w tgp laptop, they asked for a job sheet to escalate the matter further but I don't know how to get a job sheet as my product doesn't have any specification defect and it is completely a misleading advertisement.
What should I do now?

Hi @harsha4277,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out to HP Support. I completely understand your concern regarding the TGP (Total Graphics Power) specification difference you observed on Flipkart. Let me help clarify this for you.

First, it’s important to know that TGP values for GPUs such as the NVIDIA RTX 4050 can vary depending on the laptop’s thermal design and power limits defined by each manufacturer. While some listings may mention 75 W as the maximum design potential, the actual operational TGP can differ (for example, 50 W + Dynamic Boost) depending on the model’s cooling configuration, BIOS settings, and intended performance profile.

Regarding Flipkart’s request for a job sheet, those are usually generated by HP authorized service centers only when there’s a hardware defect or service intervention performed (e.g., a repair, part replacement, etc.). Since your laptop is working correctly and there’s no physical or technical defect, a service center cannot create a job sheet for a configuration or advertisement discrepancy.

Here’s what we recommend you do next:

  1. Provide Flipkart with HP’s clarification, let them know that TGP is not a static specification and can vary by laptop model and design, even within the same GPU family.
  2. Share your purchase invoice and HP product details with them for verification.
  3. If they still insist on documentation, you may visit an HP Authorized Service Center and request a system diagnostic report (not a job sheet). This report can confirm that your system is functioning as designed and running at its intended performance level.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
