Omen 15t-dc100
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I installed the windows update that appeared yesterday for me but is labelled:

October 24, 2019-KB4522741 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1903 and Windows Server 1903 RTM

afterwards my laptop restarted and upon login my Nividia GeForce Experience was not open in the hidden icons. When i actually tried to open the program i got an error message that said "Nvidia GeForce Experience requires an Nvidia GPU." When i go and click windows + X and go to the device manager i cannot find my Nvidia GPU and finally when i run DxDiag it cannot find it either.

Whats the best way to proceed? Uninstalling the windows update or restore using a system restore point? However neither of those options solve the long term issue now that you cannot turn off windows updates forever. You only get 35 days which means that regardless I'll have this issue again.

Welcome to HP support community.

Update the Bios and Graphics card driver using HP Support Assistant.

Download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: Click here

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Let me know how it goes.

I attempted that and it did not solve the issue. I had to restore back to 2 weeks before that particular windows update (restoring to the update before the one that caused the issue did not resolve). I redownloaded all my drivers and all are currently up to date. I paused Windows Update in the hope that another update will come out after that should resolve the issue.
