Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

laptop gpu (gtx 1650) throttles down to 300 Mhz when it reaches under 50% battery while unplugged, and then I have to restart.
I have tried updating all drivers.

I reviewed your post and I understand battery usage can control by the Omen command center.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

Based on the specifications of your computer, I see that the overclocking feature is not supported on the computer. Please refer to the below article for more information.

However, I recommend you uninstall the Omen command center from the computer and then download and install it from the Microsoft store and check if it helps.

I deleted and re-downloaded omen gaming hub, but the GPU still throttles under 50% battery



Update: i have also tried redownloading and reinstalling windows 10 today
which did not help, so I'm very confused

`We have done the basic troubleshooting as per the document and the notebook needs to checked taking remote access so that get to know it's a hardware or software issue.

 

I'd suggest you contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer or HP Chat Support Team.
