Game lags when not plugged in

That is normal. Machine need all power it can get to run specially for games. Now please try

 

  • Right click Battery icon and select Power Options,
  • Change Plan Settings, then Advanced Options,
  • under Processor Power Mgmt>Max Processor State, make sure it's set to 100% on Battery,
  • Apply action.

Note: battery will drain faster.
