I have an issue with Gaming Hub. After it updated, it started to freeze. It does not understand when I launch games, and my notebook keeps overheating. Gamig Hub does not activate fans. It is on balanced auto thermal, I should not control it myself. I've tried different games since I changed the competibilty of the game that I noticed my fans do not work. But I got the same problem with other games too. I restarted the notebook, but nothing changed. I mean, it generally keeps my GPU at 33 Celsius degrees when I do not launch games, but it has already started to overheat, it goes up to 42 Celsius even when nothing is active.

Based on your description and the image, here's a comprehensive response to help resolve the OMEN Gaming Hub crash and thermal control issue on your OMEN 17-ck2000 laptop:
Recommended Steps to Resolve
Update OMEN Gaming Hub and System Drivers
- Corrupted or outdated software can cause freezing and thermal mismanagement.
- Update OMEN Gaming Hub via Microsoft Store: OMEN Gaming Hub - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store
- Update BIOS and drivers using HP Support Assistant: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
Reset OMEN Gaming Hub Settings
Sometimes, settings may get corrupted after an update.
- Open OMEN Gaming Hub.
- Go to Settings > Reset to Default (if available).
- Restart your laptop.
Reinstall OMEN Gaming Hub
If the issue persists, a clean reinstall may help.
- Uninstall OMEN Gaming Hub from Settings > Apps.
- Delete leftover folders from:C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\ C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Packages\
- Reinstall from the Microsoft Store.
Check Windows Game Mode and Compatibility Settings
- Go to Settings > Gaming > Game Mode and ensure it’s enabled.
- Right-click your game executable > Properties > Compatibility tab:
- Uncheck any compatibility mode settings.
- Check "Disable fullscreen optimizations".
Manually Set Thermal Mode to MAX (Temporary Fix)
Until AUTO mode works properly:
- In OMEN Gaming Hub > Performance Control, switch Thermal Control to MAX.
- This will force fans to run at higher speeds during gaming.
Run HP Hardware Diagnostics
To rule out hardware issues:
- Restart your laptop and press F2 repeatedly to enter HP Diagnostics.
- Run System Tests > Fan and Thermal Tests.
I hope this helps.
