Well So far sprayed compressed air in all the vent openings, possibly stripped a screw when i was gonna attempt opening the bottom cover to fully clean the fans of dust. Averages 97C just doing a bit of gaming lately, idles around 45C-55C depending on room temp.
Just had local shop do CPU Fan/Heatsink replacement on Deskop, so Desktop idles around 37C, i know i'll probably never get the laptop that cool which is understandable. I may have same shop work on Laptop when i can, and get its temps down as much as can possibly
Games played on Laptop with Geforce 1050TI
Need For Speed Most Wanted
Need For Speed Payback
American Truck Sim
Euro Truck SIm 2
Any advice or things i should do before i take it by local shop, and have them work on it at some point, possibly after this Coronavirus pandemic is overwith and just use the laptop lighter i suppose til such time i can get the fans professionally cleaned, and thermal paste replaced and such
Temps monitored with CoreTemp 64

Well already have latest bios available for my model, guess will have to eventually get it to local PC repair place, and have it professionally taken care of.
Performance wise laptop isn't bad, soon as i can get it to local place, hopefully won't cost too much to get it all taken care of.
Even with my Desktop machine wasn't too comfortable replacing CPU Heatsink/fan when it went bad, and even more daunting on a laptop as much harder to open, and get to CPU properly to apply the thermal paste, and yeah probably best left to professional lol

The idle temperature seems fair - not the gaming temperature though. Most likely a proper thermal repaste will do the trick.
I've heard and seen a lot of users which have reported that HP hasn't done a very proper job of applying the initial thermal paste and that doing a repaste with decent thermal paste has substantially improved thermals.
You could also try a BIOS update although it really may not do much.
Best regards,
Eddy
