OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-xd0000 (758R2AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought my hp omen today, but at night I clicked photos and when I flashed I felt a Shine from my touchpad, So it wasn't shiny on my touchpad but the gap between the wall and the touchpad. I checked and it looks so shiny in that gap, Is it normal or should I go and check.

@Vaibhav4698-, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding touchpad issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It is not uncommon for the gap between the touchpad and the surrounding surface of a laptop, such as the keyboard deck or body, to have a reflective or shiny appearance. This could be due to:

Reflective Material: The materials used in the manufacturing of the laptop might reflect the flash, especially in crevices or gaps.

Manufacturing Tolerance: Small gaps between the touchpad and the body of the laptop are typically a result of manufacturing tolerances and do not usually indicate a problem.

Residual Protective Films: Sometimes, small pieces of protective film used during manufacturing could cause reflections.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
