I have contacted H.P. Customer Support while my laptop is still under warranty and explained that the laptop (being used by my nephew) battery woke him up as it was smoking and he said something was oozing out of it. I opened a case two days ago and was told I would get a call back yesterday. After no call I re-opened the case and they said they would call me back and in about 5 minutes the phone rang as I went to pick it up after the second ring they hung up. I know this is a serious health risk as my nephew is now afraid the laptop might be the problem and cause a fire in his room. For them to be ignoring this issue with me leaves me no choice but to contact the BBB (better business bureau ) and possibly a lawyer for a referral to a product safety official. I am amazed that they are not taking this seriously and if someone ends up injured or killed I will give them all the warning information I gave H.P. and their reply or "non" reply. Let me know if you are having the same issue with H.P.
