Looking the specs for the HP 17-cb0002ca, can I add another PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD or just replace the current ssd is my only opt.

Somehow I was suppose to have a 1.2TB ssd and it only has a 1TB ssd.

So its ONE- PCIe NVMe M.2 and one SSD slot?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi, Dave:

The product specs for your PC indicate that it came with a 1 TB mechanical hard drive and a 128 GB NVMe SSD.

OMEN by HP 17-cb0002ca Product Specifications | HP® Support

In addition to a 2.5" drive, chapter 5, page 32 of the service manual shows that support for two M.2 NVMe SSD's is available.

Maintenance and Service Guide OMEN by HP 17 Laptop PC

But the service video shows that there is only one slot under that SSD drive cover...

Replace the Solid State Drive | OMEN by HP 17-cb0000 Laptop PC | HP (youtube.com)

I would open up the notebook and confirm how many M.2 slots there are before buying one.

I thought I had looked through the owners manual.

Can I ask another question or two.

What did this cost new? I figure it was about $1200 -$1600.

Can the keyboard lights be anything but just red? Do they have the wave ability?

Thanks for your help
