OMEN by HP - 15-dc0102tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

For some reason, HP Audio Control has seemingly stopped working on my PC. It is no longer enhancing my laptops audio, even though it appears to be turned on

As you can see in this screenshot, I have HP Experience turned on, but every option to customize it (With the exception of the EQ) is greyed out.

It's the same story for when I have headphones plugged in.

I have tried restarting my computer multiple times, updating it, downloading the most recent drivers for my computer, and it doesn't resolve the problem.

Some additional notes:

-It was working perfectly at first, then I shut it down, put in my bag (For I was travelling) Opened the PC up when I got to my location and suddenly it started doing this.

-This isn't the first time I have run into issue's like this with my computer,  But the first time was caused by the fact that the driver I had installed on my PC by default didn't support B&O, even though my PC itself did, and was resolved via downloading the correct drivers. This time, I have everything (to my knowledge) correctly downloaded. And I'm experiencing issues.

-Unlike the first audio issue, which caused the audio to be too tinny, This issue causes the audio to sound muffled and flat.

I hope the information I have provided can help someone find the answer to my problem

Hello @FIØNYX

In most cases, the simplest solution:

=> Use Windows Restore to return to the restore point >>> before <<< the error occurred.

See section < How to recover using System Restore on Windows 10 >
