HP OMEN 15 Freezing

I bought this gaming pc (geoforce 1050) yesterday, I installed windows 10 64 bits, done all the windows updates.
the pc is freezing alot, specially ingame, where it freezes three, four times in a single game (30 mins period), i have an external monitor connected, i open/close the lid the freeze is gone till 5-10 min later it freezes again.

installing the nvidea drivers doesn't fix the prb.

it freezes also happens when i'm not playing, just using a browser, but a lot less often.

any ideas how can I fix this?

If you are not running Windows 10, 1809 (October 2018 update), I highly suggest that you do the update.  Here is the Microsoft Download page:

Use the "Update now" button to begin the update.  Once you have updated to 1809, you should assure that it is fully up to date; software and drivers.
