HP OMEN 15-dc0020np 15.6"

Hi everyone,

I'm about to consider buying this gaming laptop(I don't know if there's already more better and recent OMEN ones in the market though, so please let me know it this is worth the money:generic:) ,due to an offer on a close by electronics shop, throughout their website, but there's one thing that has been holding my back, and thoughts about actually buying it or not. So, my doubt about it is that this laptop doesn't came with any operative system installed on it, and I would like to know, if anyone could help me with it's installation step by step, and how to install on it the Windows 10 Home 64x Bit(like I see this is the one that comes installed by factory at other more expensive OMEN's), like it was coming already originaly installed from factory, with all the drivers and stuff, without nothing missing.

Thanks for reading, and hope anyone can help me with this choose, if this was also your case:generic:

Yes this laptop was shipped with FreeDOS only which means there is no license for Windows 10 embedded in the motherboard and you would have to pay for a Windows 10 license. Installation is easy and all the drivers are available for download here. So once you have the laptop and have purchased a Windows 10 license come back here and we can walk you through it. Rest easy it will be something you can handle. The end result will not be exactly like the laptop came from the factory as not every app shipped with the laptop is available for download but the ones that are not you really do not want anyway. You will have a functional laptop with all drivers and HP utility apps like diagnostics and automatic driver updating.

The laptop has an 8th gen Intel Core i5 processor so is a current model and there is no newer hardware out there. With the GeForce GTX 1050 it will be a middle of the pack gamer. Some titles will be over its head. To be sure you can play just about any game you need a 1070 or a 1080. I do not know if its worth the money as I do not know what price you are being offered but somewhere less than $850 US would be a good deal if it is sealed box new. Even a slightly used unit loses a lot of value.

Post back with any more questions and if this is the info you need please accept as solution.

Hi Huffer,

Thank you very much for your fast support and reply, it helped a LOT! Since I'm in Europe, converting Euros to Dollars the price they're asking for it is $1.077,45 for the one with 1050 GC, with a 1060 up starting prices are from $1.700 up. There's no avoiding it unfortunately. Thanks for the support though, I'll return when I have it on my possesion;)
