OMEN 15 dc0084tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am having issues with fps drop when the charger is not connected. A day before im having issues even when charger is connected. I have tried updating BIOS and graphics driver, putting optimization of laptop for max performance, and putting max settings in NVidia control panel - under 3D management. I bought this laptop  a month ago barely. Laptop sometimes heats up while playing, especially the keyboard.

Games I am playing :

The Crew 2

NFS rivals

Forza Horizon 3

GTA 5

Even on medium setting in this gaming laptop i experience quite decent fps drop.

Please help.

Regards,

Dennis Kumar

Hello @kumardennis

Looks like you went through most of the settings already to solve the issue.

Did you also go into the Nvidia control panel and switch the graphics card to always be the nvidia card?

The preferred graphics processor needs to be taken off of the Auto-select setting and set to Nvidia.

Hope this helps.

OK. Do know that if you are gaming without the charger plugged in, the system still wont run at full capacity. It should run better with all the settings you changed though. Thats all I can offer. sorry.
