HP OMEN 17-CB0006NA

Hello,

At the moment I am in a search for a gaming laptop and I found the HP OMEN 17-CB0006NA to be a very good option.

There is only one question left to answer. In most shops that sell this laptop, in the description, it says that the GPU is RTX 2070. However, when I searched for the reviews on youtube most reviewers said that it has the RTX 2070 Max Q version of the GPU.

I would like to get a definite answer because if it is a full-fledged RTX 2070 I am going to buy it. But if it is a Max Q version then I am going to look for something else.

Below I added the information about the differences between Max Q and standard versions of the GPU.

Thank you.

Hello @Ritoaniajin

Ive discovered there is a lot of misinformation floating around the internet on this new series and not all of the HP information is complete either. I found the HP Store pages for the overall specs of the 17-cb0XXX series has recently updated. 🙄

The RTX 2070 and 2080 used in the new 15 and 17 inch models is Max-Q. Sorry.

Well... this is interesting... as I've just found a video on youtube where a reviewer states that these laptops, 17 inch, use the full version and not the Max Q. also the one I am looking at is 7DT12EA#ABU

The new 2019 HP OMEN 17 offers a huge 17-inch 144hz display, RTX 2060, 2070 or 2080 graphics and the latest 9th Gen i7 processors! No thin & light MaxQ here, the OMEN 17 is a PROPER Gaming Laptop! 👉 HP OMEN Store https://bit.ly/2mA2QAT #HPOMEN17 #Gaming #Laptop #GamingLaptop #HPOMEN Can't get ...

Edited...  The specs had been changed again and the previous info was edited out of the specs info.

The 17-cb000 series does in fact use a full sized Graphics card. Only the 16 inch series uses Max-q.

Sorry for the confusion. When new models are released, sometimes the info published gets skewed and it takes time to get it corrected.

I (really really) want to believe that those specs are for newer versions of the laptop... the model number I found in the link you gave was 7LG51AV_1. Also, it said NEW HP OMEN 17 ...

And most likely I was looking at a bit older version. Which is 7DT12EA#ABU.

Though this laptop is sold out in all the shops in my country...

I also found this:
