HP OMEN Control/Central Ops Deleted

HP Recommended

I think my friend uninstalled the program(s) from my computer thinking it was bloatware and I can't find a download for it on the site, does anyone know where I can find it?

Thanks in advance!

Hello @ShepherdOfBob,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

I have read your post on how your friend uninstalled programs from your notebook computer thinking it was bloatware, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!

To ensure that all of your drivers and software are re-installed on your system, I recommend following the steps in this document on Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 😎, as well as Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 😎 to update the drivers. This should help re-install the original software and hardware drivers that first came with your operating system.

Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I look forward to your reply!

If you haven't erased the content under C:\SWSetup\, you can find the source file of HP Central Ops as below:

C:\SWSetup\APP\Applications\HP\HPOMENCen_GGVZB2\1.00\src\HPSetup.exe

You entrusted a brand new, and expensive, machine to  your "friend" - who likely knows even less than you do?

3+ years after this post and it's still helping. I accidently uninstalled HP Omen Control when downloading what I thought was an updated HP Omen Central OPS, only for it to remove Omen Control and not allow me to change my fan speeds when I game. Your steps helped me find the file I needed to run, to get it to run Omen Control correctly and show up where it's supposed to be, so I can actually use it. 😄
