Hi,

I purchased the HP Omen today and when trying to game, I am finding that the keyboard is not processing my commands. Buttons like Q, W, E, and even tab and esc usually have to be pressed multiple times to get a response. It is very hit and miss.   

 

What do I do? This laptop is brand new but my games are practically unplayable. The keyboard issue is only with gaming, and I have the Filter Keys setting turned off.

 

Please help!

As I Understand the keyboard is not pressing when gaming

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution: 

Did you disable the sticky keys as well?

Is the issue specific to a particular game or happens on all games?

 

While you respond to that, could you access the safe mode and check if the issue persists?

If the issue persists, create a new user account and retry.

 

Also, if the issue persists on other apps as well, try with an alternate keyboard,

And Let me know how that works out, keep me in the loop and Good luck! 😉
