Hello, I'm having some issue with the newly purchased HP omen 15 (2020). When I'm gaming in performance mode, I noticed my battery draining when plugged in. Maybe the OEM charger doesnt actually provide enough wattage?

I reviewed your post and I understand that the battery is draining even when the charger is plugged in.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

I have already updated the bios and done the battery check. The problem still persists. Whenever the laptop is under heavy load, battery discharges even when it is plugged in. Most likely because the OEM adapter doesnt provide enough wattage for the laptop under heavy load.

I recommend you contact support to further diagnose the issue.

 

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

 

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
