Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Around 2 years after purchasing my OMEN, the part of the right hinge inside of the chassis attached to the screen broke off, and popped off. The warranty ran out a year ago and it seems a lot of people are having this same issue. However, after spending hours calling HP it seems that there is nothing they can do for me without charging me an absurd price of £220+.

 

After spending almost £1k on this laptop I am extremely disappointed and I don't think I'll ever buy from HP again.

 

Doesn't seem right to me that I have to pay for a defect, after going through hoops and hours of customer "support".
