Omen 15 dc-1000
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A couple of days back I noticed that when I put my laptop down onto the desk I heard an odd plastic sound like the encasing was not properly put in place, but I paid it no mind. Today I decided to investigate and noticed a large bulge underneath the touchpad and have discovered that all of the battery cells are horribly swollen.

When I used the Virtual Agent, this is what it said:

Now, don't get me wrong, it's not like I don't trust HP with this, but the thing looks pretty dangerous to me.

There are 4 visible bulges there. Despite the camera quality not being up to par, I believe they are still clearly visible.

I've bought this laptop back in August 2019 and since the warranty is only 1 year, it is now out of warranty. What are my options when it comes to resolving this issue?

EDIT: How can this be not considered a safety issue?
