Facing a laptop freezing issue in HP Omen 15 en1036ax where the laptop completely freezes and keyboard mouse everything stops working and screen gets stuck at whatever was on there a sec ago. Have always observed this happening while randomly browsing the internet in google chrome. Happens almost once in two weeks usually. nothing gets logged onto event viewer except that I had to manually power off by holding the power button. So it says shutdown in an unusual way.

Hi @Dangerin,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a performance issue with your HP Omen 15 en1036ax. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • Was there any software/game installed prior to the issue?
  • Was there any Windows Update installed recently?
  • Have you updated all the drivers on your PC?

WhiWhile you respond to that, Let's perform a power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the BIOS on your PC.

Please download and install HP Support Assistant and make sure you update all the pending updates.

If the issue persists please follow the steps mentioned on this Link

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
