Hi! This is my first post here so hope I don't mess up, I've been with this laptop for about 3 years, without any issue until the previous week that I noticed the battery couldn't charge, when I checked with the HP Support Assistant it told me that the battery was too hot so it couldn't charge, at that time I just disconnected the pc from charging and just stopped using it for the week.

Today I went to a pc support so they could tell me how the battery was, and apparently it was swell! I asked the person repairing it to just remove it and not replacing it, since I don't use the battery that much, when I returned home, I turn off the pc and I'm encountering with a cmos checksum error, so the thing is, can i actually solve this problem or it is going to be like this until i decide to put a new battery? I seriously don't want to have a new one and i've searching and it seems the battery is the one thing that keeps the BIOS date and time fine since it seems my model doesn't have a RTC battery on the motherboard.

Hope you can help me out!!
