Hp Omen 15-dc0508na

While using my laptop this afternoon it shut off without warning. Realising it had probably overheated I left it unplugged for an hour then tried to bott it up, the red power light comes on for about 6 seconds before switching off. I hear no other sounds, fans etc... And have tried to plug it in and launch incase it is a low battery issue.

My fear is I've fried something and the power is not connecting. Does anyone have any advice!
