HP Omen 15t-ax200
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Omen 15t-ax200 which was stuck in a boot loop and was recently reimaged using windows 10.  It was previously a windows 10 machine.  After the reinstall of windows 10 the machine is booting fine and is working with an activated windows key.  However the Q key does not work I have tried cleaning under the key and removing the key itself.  When trying to depress the key or depress the parts under the key nothing happens.  I also just updated it to the lastest bios.  Can this be fixed?

@LookingForBread,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I recommend you uninstall the keyboard driver from device manager and then restart the computer and check.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Start Control Panel, click Hardware and Sound, and then click Device Manager.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

If you continue facing the issue, perform a test on the keyboard following the steps in the below article.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
