OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop 16-n0000 (5B1T4AV)

I recently purchased the HP Omen 16 laptop with ryzen 7 6800H and 4gb RTX 3050 gpu. Right after purchase, when I booted the laptop I saw that there were backlight bleeding issues on the edges (extremely prominent). Now I do not know if this is a problem with all HP Omens or my unit. Please help me out. Also I saw that the 16" screen is more or less sharp but in many apps the screen becomes quite pixelated viz: web browsers, ms office etc. Mostly text. Please also tell me if this is normal, coz I come from a 15.6" ASUS laptop which had a wonderful screen without any backlight bleed or pixelation.

Hi @subhanuMajumder,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing display issues with your HP Omen 16. Backlight bleeding, especially on the edges, can be quite distracting and affect your overall viewing experience. Here are a few steps you can take to address this problem.

  • Check the display settings: Make sure the brightness and contrast settings are properly adjusted. Sometimes, incorrect settings can make backlight bleeding more noticeable. Experiment with different settings to see if it helps.
  • Update graphics drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated or incompatible drivers can sometimes cause display issues. Visit HP's official website or the manufacturer's support page to download and install the latest drivers for your specific model.
  • External lighting conditions: Assess the impact of external lighting conditions on the display. Sometimes, the backlight bleeding becomes more pronounced in low-light environments. Try adjusting the lighting in the room to see if it makes a difference.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
