Omen 17-AN027NM
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Ok, I have my Omen 17-AN027NM for quite a while now, but now i would really need more space. Now I'm have 256GB SSD and my main question is, can i add one more 512GB SSD into my notebook? If yes, what kind of? I saw at some topics talking about M.2, or there an option for standard 2.5 format?

 Thanks, Gasper

Hi Gasper,

At the moment you have a 256GB M2 PCIe NVMe SSD in the notebook. So, you could replace this drive with a higher capacity M2 PCIe NVMe drive such as 2TB.

You can also keep the M2 drive which you have now and add a 2,5" SSD such as the 2.5" Samsung 860evo or similar of your desired capacity.

Example:

To add a 2.5" SSD or HDD you will need:

Hard drive connector and cable         part number 931564-001

You can try searching online with part number or in HP parts store in your country:

On page 40-42 of service manual you can see the steps to insert the 2.5" drive in the notebook.

Let me know if you need further help,

David
