Product: OMEN by HP 17-cb0006na

HP Omen 17 cb0006na been working fine for two years and suddenly doesn't charge when switched on. It charges while the laptop is switched off (orange light comes on next to DC jack) but when I switch on the laptop the orange light goes off and it reverts to draining battery. I've changed my AC adapter to my spare but same issue. I've also tried resetting power settings in command prompt and un installing ACPI drivers. I've ordered a new battery but there a lot of reports of these issues with HP laptops. Anyone with any suggestions? Thanks
