HP Omen 17 (17-cb0004nw)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There are my notebook details:

[1] Model: HP Omen 17 (17-cb0004nw)

[2] Product number: 7DV29EA

[3] System board ID: 8603

[4] BIOS (HP Setup Utility): AMI F.30

[5] BIOS Menu (vertical layout):

* Main

* Security

* Configuration

* Boot Options

* UEFI HII Configuration

* Exit

[6] UEFI HII Configuration (displayed options):

* Network Stack Configuration

* Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology

[7] Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology (displayed info):

* Intel RST 17.2.8.4410 RAID Driver

* Non-RAID Physical Disks: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2TB

[8] Installed Storage Devices (1x SATA, 2x NVMe):

* Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2TB (SATA)

* Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB (NVMe)

* Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB (NVMe)

Question:

Is it possible to configure RAID 0 for 2x M2 NVMe SSDs and then install OS on such a combined disk? If yes then how to do it.

I could not find any useful information about RAID configuration in manuals and forums for my notebook model. It seems that there are also not too many options in a BIOS interface in comparison with other HP computers (i.e. with a horizontal layout menu). BTW, I know that PCIe 3.0 x4 interface between CPU and disk controller can be a bottleneck for those NVMe drives, but nonetheless I would like to just check if there is any speed increase (as for transfer and IO operations) or not in this case.

@rafaloss

The series has RAI0 options for M.2 NVMe SSD's as mentioned on page 2 of the following manual

             http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06367528.pdf

How ? Please use the following guide

                  https://helpdeskgeek.com/how-to/how-to-install-and-configure-raid-drives-raid-0-and-1-on-your-pc/

Regards.

Thanks for your efforts. Unfortunately, your links are not very helpful.

I know the HP support website dedicated to my model. You can find manuals and BIOS and driver downloads there.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/omen-by-hp-17-cb0000-laptop-pc/26122176/model/31897054?sku=7DV2...

[1] I have described the configuration of my specific model (i.e. 17-cb0004nw), so I am not interested in the general information for series.

Does it mean that all configuration options mentioned on page 2 are available for all model numbers (i.e. 17-cb0000~17-cb0999, 17-cb000)?

Does it mean that configuration with x2 NVMe SSD 1TB is not possible for any of them because it is not mentioned on page 2?

All configurations mentioned on page 2 with RAID are:
512 GB, PCIe, NVMe, TLC, x2, RAID 0 solid-state drive + 2 TB, 5400 rpm hard drive
256 GB, PCIe, NVMe, TLC, x2, RAID 0 solid-state drive + 1 TB, 5400 rpm hard drive
Moreover, this is the only page where "RAID" keyword can be found in this document.

[2] "HowTo" guide describes steps and BIOS options that are not available in BIOS installed in my model.

My BIOS interface is similar to this one:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06525451

There are some differences. For example, in my version of BIOS, there is an additional menu option "UEFI HII Configuration" (see my post above). On the other hand, I have not found setting "Setup mode select" in "Boot Options" of my model. But the rest is more or less the same.

I have installed the newest version of BIOS, taken from this website:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/omen-by-hp-17-cb0000-laptop-pc/26122176/model/31897...

Could you show me how to find options and do steps described in "HowTo" guide but using my BIOS interface?
There are 2x M2 slots in my notebook and there is information about RAID driver in BIOS, but question how to use these possibilities together is still open.
