Microsoft Windows 11

The Windows update happened automatically yesterday, and since then the display is not working. It's not a black screen issue, it just is not working at all. Here's what I've tried already -

  • I tried connecting it to my TV with HDMI, it is unable to detect a display.
  • Tried Windows + B + power button (BIOS reset), the fans start at high speed and then comes back to normal, but no effect on the display.
  • Opened the back cover, removed the RAMs, and reinserted them - no effect either.

What else can I try? When I go to the HP service website, they keep asking me to give the serial number; but I can't since the display is not working.

Hi @Kristada619,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your laptop.

-Perform a power drain on your PC.

1) Unplug the power cord from the PC & wall.

2) Disconnect the power cable from the AC adapter if it is a detachable part and keep it aside.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the AC adapter, then connect it to the wall and to the charging port on your PC.

5) Power on the PC and check if it boots into Windows now.

I've obviously tried all the "solutions" mentioned by you and also in the link you provided, multiple times. Only after trying everything I posted about the issue here.
