AN100TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

After updating my hp omen AN100TX to bios version of F0.4 Rev.A in last month, now when I want to update my laptop bios to last version (F.17 Rev.A) keep receiving this Bios is not compatible with your device.

I download the file directly from the hp support website and my device web pages. I even tried the different version of bios files and no luck. in the end, I tried via USB flash bios recovery method and still no luck. Untitled.png

@AryaFarjand, welcome to the forum.

I don't believe that the F.17 Rev.A is an update for your laptop.  HP uses their motherboards in different models with different BIOS's.  It is a bit confusing.

Here is the Software and Driver Download page.  Look at the BIOS section.  Then, look at the Previous versions section for each BIOS update.  You will see that the F.05 Rev.A update shows the previous version was the F.04 Rev.A.  The original BIOS version that you showed in your post.  The previous version for the F.17 Rev.A was the F.15 Rev.A.  They are completely different BIOS versions.

I hope this isn't too confusing.

As I said in my previous post, it is definitely confusing.  This is why you have to look at the previous BIOS version or the SSID to assure that it is for your motherboard.  If the previous BIOS version is F.04 Rev.A, it is unlikely that the BIOS update would be F.17 Rev.A, but most likely F.05 Rev.A.  I understand your confusion, fully.

We who help on the Forums have discussed this with the appropriate people within HP.
