OMEN Laptop - 15-en0013dx
Microsoft Windows 11

About 5 months after purchase I began experiencing BSODs, black screens and screen freezes (mouse pointer and all apps freeze but are still visible). I had a hunch that it had to do with laptop being plugged into the charger, so I kept track of whether the laptop was plugged into the wall charger each time the event occurred. Turns out all the listed adverse events happen only when the laptop is charging; Never on battery. After discovering this, I've been using the laptop on battery as often as possible to reduce interruptions to my work and the frequency has drastically decreased. Occasionally I do need to use it while charging, and only during those times have they occurred.

This is not a tenable solution though, because I bought this laptop to run SolidWorks and other computationally intensive software for my work... so I will need to be on the charger while using the laptop for it's intended purpose.

I don't want to waste a bunch of money throwing new chargers, new batteries, etc. at it to fix it, so I'm hoping someone out there who had this problem and already found the solution sees this and can send me in the right direction.

Thank you.

Frank
