HP OMEN Notebook - 15-5000ne (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

After giving my laptop for fixing, it was reset to factory settings and since then the RGB lighting customisation has not been working and is stuck to red.

I therefore reinstalled HP Omen Control application, as well as the latest drives via the HP Support Assistant.

However I still cannot change the RGB lighting from the Omen Control App.

I followed a fewexisting solutions to these questions (Question HP OMEN Control download and Question HP Omen Control lighting not working), which were solved by downloading this System Event Utility: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp69001-69500/sp69229.exe.

However, this utility does not seem to be available any more as it was decomissioned in 2019.

Is there an other way I can install this utility or another solution by any chance?

Thanks 🙂

The specs of your machine is

            https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04512586

It says nothing about the keyboard. My machine clearly says it has

Full-size 4-zone lighting backlit keyboard with numeric keypad and NKRO

as on its specs

          https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c06095817

Sounds like your machine ONLY has one light background (white or red or blue).

Regards.
