My computer just started shutting off randomly a couple days ago. I have had it for 14 months with no other issues.
When I do the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool it tells me the drive fails and gives me a code.
QBSEKD-8P699W-MFPURG-618613
I have no idea what this means or if it's even related.
I checked for heat... it's barely even warm when it shuts off
I tried to blow out any dust, but there doesnt appear to be any.

Hello @BigRig15
It mean your hard drive is failing and needs to be replaced.
Hard Disk 1 Full Test Failure
Here is the manual to see how to access the drive.

If it will run for a little while, back up any data if you have not done so yet.
If you made your HP recovery media, you can use that to reinstall to a new drive.
Or if you have to, you can use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool...
Your specs say it only came with a 1 TB HDD. If so, you could upgrade to an NVMe M.2 SSD and it will run much faster.

Thank you for your response.
I do have a 128GB SSD that all my programs and Windows are installed on, as well as the 1TB HDD that I store all my files on. How do I know whcih drive is failing? It never actually tells me. I assume its the one I have Windows installed on if it's making my computer shut down.

The message says disk 1. I assume it will have Windows SSD on Disk 0.
You can use the Diskpart command in the CMD and see what disk is what.
You’ll need to run DiskPart in administrator mode; one way to do this is to open your Start menu, type diskpart in the Search box, and then when diskpart.exe appears in the search results, right-click it and select Run as administrator.
At the DISKPART> prompt, type: list disk to display all the drives on your computer. Each drive will have a disk number, starting with 0 (zero).
That will give you and indication which disk is disk 1.
You could just disconnect the HDD also and see if the problem goes away.
