All of a sudden, the laptop does not charge, not even a light indicating charge. This after the warranty ran out 5 months ago. Tried reseating the battery after pressing and holding the power button for 60 seconds. Still nothing. Help, this is my baby, I don't want it to die.

Hello @Lagerman
Not much I can do for you if your battery is dead. But it certainly wont hurt anything to run it plugged in all the time.
The battery will have a replacement number on it that you can use to look up another one on the web. HP doesn't sell them for the Omen.
If you need a manual or want a part number looked up, I will need your full product number of your Omen.
You can find it in the HP Support Assistant.

Got a replacement battery and charger. After pressing the power button for 30 seconds, installed the new battery. Still won't power on. Previous battery was pretty puffed up. Thought maybe it was a charger issue and used a new charger and still no light indicating charge. Still not powering on. Model is Omen 15 ce0xx. What now?

Sounds like a hardware failure alright. I was asking for the "Product" number, but close enough.
I assume you are out of warranty since you were buying batteries yourself? If not, you need to contact HP Support directly. If you're no longer under warranty, when did it end?
IF out of warranty, you might want to have a shop look at it. Or you can try a few things yourself if you wish.
You say its NOT powering on at all as in, it just remains a blank screen and there are no fans or lights working?
You would need to remove some things to see if it produces any results like a fan turning on or something appearing on screen.
- Try powering on without the battery, only plugged in to the power cord. When you remove the battery and its unplugged, hold the power button down for 20 seconds first to drain any power left in the capacitors. Then plug it in and press the power button.
I don't believe the old charger caused the swelling. Most likely, the battery was getting hot while you were using it (not plugged in) for a prolonged amount of time. Ive seen it happen many times once an internal battery reaches a certain age. - Try removing the drive and see if you can get it to boot up into the bios, or it gives you a message like... the drive is missing. Tapping the Esc key at power-on will bring up a start up menu for bios and such.
- Does it have one memory stick or two? If two, remove one and try powering on. If nothing, replace the first and remove the second. Or if only one, swap memory slots.
IF you have no results and its still not powering on at all, most likely something on the motherboard itself has failed.
