Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to connect my omen laptop to a gsync capable display over Display Port. Can I do this over thunderbolt 3 or do I have to use a mini DP to DP cable? In short Is the Thunderbolt 3 port connected to the NVIDIA GPU, which would allow you to use an external GSync monitor with an appropriate USBC to DisplayPort cable adapter?

Materials required to connect a portable external monitor: Your laptop computer Connecting cable (for example, an HDMI cable) Portable external monitor In some cases: an adapter or docking station.
