Hi, I think I am having the same problem with a brand new Omen Obelisk 875-1040st, which I just purchased from HP. If I leave the computer powered on overnight, then I only find the computer unresponsive with a black screen and with the fan spinning fast making noises.
I would like to follow Lunario's solution, but I can't seem to find how to uninstall HP framework. There is nothing by that name in the Apps & Features (and even checked the Programs & Features). If I uninstall HP Support Assistant, will that automatically uninstall the hidden HP framework?
Please help me.
This is very frustrating for a brand-new computer, and I am even considering to return it HP and purchase a non-HP computer.
Thank you.

@windysky, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant, Click here
HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook
-
Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

-
Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

-
Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
-
Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
-
Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.
Also, ensure Windows is up to date.
Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & security > Windows Update, and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available
Let me know how this goes.
If you feel my post solved your issue, please click “Accept as Solution”, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

Dear Kumar,
Thank you for your reply, but I would appreciate if you read my post more carefully. I did have the latest version of HP Support Assistant and my Windows 10 was up-to-date.
Well, I just went ahead uninstalled the existing HP Support Assistant the other day. Hurrah, the issue is all gone. So the culprit was the HP Support Assistant, at least in my case.
Thanks,

HP Support Assistant was suggested to you for all the required updates to be installed on the PC. In many cases with a brand new unit, most of the required updates will be missing which may cause an issue.
Glad you found the solution and the issue is resolved now. Feel free to write to us if you require any assistance with HP Products.
Happy to help!
