HP Omen
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My month-old HP Omen laptop is either unable to run games without crashing, or when it does play games the screen flickers or tears. Have updated BIOS and graphics drivers multiple times. Is there any advice other than this?

According to other people who have experienced this issue, this may be an issue with the motherboard. If I wanted to do this, how can I send my laptop to HP for repairs?

I've been in prolonged discussions with people on HP's support line, but none of their suggestions have worked. Earlier today I reset the laptop to its original settings, but still had this issue. The screen was flickering and tearing, with other games crashing following an apparent issue with the graphics driver. I have found out though that the screen issues are not so bad if the laptop is not plugged in. Also, right after the restart the graphics appeared to be fine, but quickly started having issues again right after optimising the particular game I was testing it with.

I will be sending the laptop to HP tomorrow for repairs. If they do not work then the laptop will probably go back for a refund and I'll get a new laptop from some other company.

Unless anyone has any new or drastic ideas to repair this issue, I'm going to put this down as a hardware issue and hope it is resolved following repairs.
