I’ve had this computer for about a year, and since I’ve owned it, it has periodically randomly shut down. Usually I am able to boot the computer back up, but now it will not turn on. The LED next to the adapter jack is not on even though the laptop is plugged in to a working outlet. The AC adapter and battery are working fine. I have tried the solutions given to people with similar issues and none have worked. I did see that this model has a known issue with shorting. If this is likely the case, will HP take responsibility for the hardware issue?
