I want to add an SSD in my laptop together with my 1TB HDD and I checked the manual if it supports an m.2 SSD. It says that it can support a 1TB HDD + 128GB M.2 SATA-3 drives. But when I opened my laptop, it has no m.2 slot. Is there any solution for this? Thank you!

This is the manual I read: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05228250

its possible since that port is supposed to be there but wasn't soldered in.

Hello @EddieWow

Yep, that is the thing with an HP. Even though the manual says they can potentially have that SSD configuration, if it came without the M.2 SSD actually installed from factory, the slot can be missing. They are configured as the models specs say first. There is no guarantee the slot will be there also. Considering its age, there would be nothing you could do now. I'm sorry.

Thank you for your response, another thing, intel Rapid Storage says that I have three ports for the drives but when I opened my laptop, there are only two visible ports. The one for the HDD and for the optical drive (I replaced the optical drive with a caddy for me to install another drive). Do you think that the missing m.2 slot is the third port?m.2.PNG
