Model 15-ec0095nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey,

I have an HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop (model 15-ec0095nr) and I'm having ram issues. I have 16GB of memory but it says I can only use 5.9GB. Of that 5.9GB available for use I'm using around 3.4GB continuously so the laptop runs rather slow.

I don't know too much about this kind of laptop, but is there any way to see and change where all my memory is going? Everything is working fine (according to the BIOS) but doing anything takes too long.

I've tried using the BIOS to change where or just check where it's all going, but no related options appear, and deleting or pausing programs can only do so much.

Thanks!

That is a known issue which is related to AMD processors. Please check the following article:.

And from Microsoft PlayReady.

Okay, thank you for letting me understand the situation a little more. However, thats with 8GB of memory. I added another 8GB so shouldn't I have more usable memory? Even with 16GB total I can only use 5.9GB, so it's still slow. Is there anything I can do?

when you added the extra 8GB did you replace the preexisting ram with a new stick identical to the new one, some computers don't like to play nice when both the specs and brands of the memory sticks are not identical
