HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook - 15-ak011na - Upgrading the Graphics Card

The Graphics Card in my Pavilion Gaming Notebook (15-ak011na) is not performing for a game I have recently purchased. I have the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M currently installed, how do I know what Graphics Cards can be used to replace this one?

The Game Specs recommend a "Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti", but I would like to look at getting a slightly better spec.

Hi:

The graphics adapter is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

The only way to upgrade the graphics would be to replace the system board with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that may come with a better graphics adapter.

There are no motherboards that come with anything better than what you have now.

Thank you for your response. So as I understand your saying if I want to upgrade the Graphics Card I will also need to upgrade the System board (item 8 in the  service manual)l?

What Spec would you recommend to achieve the minimum graphics card upgrade I need as stated in my original post?

You're very welcome.

You can't install a better motherboard in your notebook.

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates the best GPU offered in the model series was the GeForce 950M, which the product specs for your notebook indicate that it comes with.
