HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg2000 (4U8D6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I just bought my HP Pavilion Laptop PC 15-eg2000 laptop yesterday. After full charge at 100%, I see the battery down to 20% in 2 hours time when I attend a Zoom call connected using my Bluetooth headset. Is this normal? I can see a 1% drop in battery every 1 & a half minute.

@AbiPk,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Please try the "HP Notebook Testing and Calibrating" your battery utility: HP Notebook PCs - Testing and calibrating the battery (Windows) | HP® Customer Support.

If your laptop is under warranty, check here: Official HP® Warranty Check – United States | HP® Customer Support.

In case you need to replace your battery, according to HP PartSurfer, your battery is HP part number: L97300-005 ("3CELL BATTERY 41Wh 3.72Ah LI HW0 -HW03XL").  HP does not have this battery in stock, but it is easily available online.

Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Hi,

I see the battery down to 20% (from 100%) in 2 hours time when I listen to YouTube or attend a Zoom call - Is that the normal / expected performance for a new laptop?

@AbiPk,

No, not really. You should be able to get at least 3 to 4 hours of battery runtime.

If your laptop battery is covered by HP warranty (something you will have to find out), reach out to them.

Kind Regards,
