HP Pavilion - 15-cc023cl
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My HP Pavilion laptop had Win 8.1 (purchased in Aug 2017).

I am replacing the HDD with another similar mechanical drive. I was wondering if I could install Win 10. Can this laptop handle it? I couldn't see the HP page to download drivers for Win 8.1, it is showing for Win 10 only. Please see the image attached. Both the menus have only Win 10 listed.

Thank you!

Hi @CuteKat

This laptop comes with windows 10, I don't know why it has windows 8.1, but if you want you can install windows 10, the license is stored in the BIOS.

Yes, it'll handle Windows 10 as I also have been working with it but chrome slows down and I always have to install Windows 2-3 months regularly again and again.
