I bought a YB06XL battery from eBay to replace the swollen battery, but the BIOS and the Windows 11 system do not recognize it. I have followed the instructions to run the HP Diagnostics, and it skips the battery test because it says it is not a genuine HP battery. The problem I'm having is that this is a genuine HP battery, and I have waited patiently for a few months to find it.
I want to get some support from the HP folks. They asked for a picture of the battery and a description of the problem, and all I got was an email with a bunch of links, and now I'm here.
I'm hoping to get this resolved if possible. If anyone knows how to get this to work, please contact me. I have already tried all the steps of deleting the battery drivers, restarting the computer, and even upgrading the BIOS. I can't get the new battery to get recognized by the system.
Thank you for reading this post!

Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Yes, your HP Spectre x360 - 15-ch011dx (2LV24UA) as per https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=2LV24UA, requires the HP (p/n) 928372-856 ("Assembly-battery 6Cell 84Wh 3.64Ah LI YB06XL") battery.
In one of the links for a quality 928372-856 replacement battery (https://www.amazon.com/OUWEE-YB06XL-Compatible-15-CH000NA-15-CH000TX/dp/B085G6THWM/ref=sr_1_4?crid=1...), there was this installation suggestion that may be helpful:
"If the new battery is not recognized during the initial installation, please reinstall and check if the interface is fully connected. Discharge the new battery to 5% (not 0%), then charge and cycle 3-4 times to wake up the new battery."
Kind Regards,
