Hi HP Support Team,

I’m writing to report a hinge failure on my HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15-fa0xxx, which I first noticed in the first week of November. I started hearing a small cracking sound whenever I opened or closed the laptop, and shortly after, the hinge became loose and visibly damaged.

My warranty has already expired, but this kind of issue appearing so soon after normal use is extremely concerning. I take good care of my device, and there was no accidental damage involved. This makes me question whether this is a user-related issue or a manufacturing/design flaw.

To understand the situation better, I researched online and found that many HP Victus users are experiencing the exact same hinge problem. This clearly shows that the issue is not isolated.
Here are some references:

Seeing multiple reports across platforms makes it difficult to believe this is normal wear and tear. As a student who depends on this laptop every day, this is extremely disappointing and raises serious concerns about product durability and build quality.

I am requesting HP to:

  • Acknowledge this recurring hinge issue in the Victus series,

  • Provide clear guidance on how I should proceed,

  • And consider offering a free repair or goodwill support, since this problem appears to be a known defect affecting several users.

I’ve also attached images of the hinge damage in this post for your review.

Please advise on the next steps and how HP plans to address this issue.

Thank you,
