Hello HP support,

I bought recently an HP Victus laptop model 16.1 inch gaming laptop 16-s0000 series

After some time, the laptop began to have flickering screen and shows artifacts on the screen. As HP didnt mentioned on their warranty website that the device was under the 2 years legal European warranty (article L.217-7),  i was forced to buy the extended warranty of HP for 72 euros. This gives me 2 warranty running at the same time on the laptop. The issue of the laptop is a well known hidden defect which is the Hall sensor chronic issue. When i sent the laptop for repair, the service denied to repair it while claiming bad handling or liquid damage which is completely false as this problem is on international forums. The solution of simply returning my laptop is unacceptable especially for a 1300 euros device that is unusable after 1 year of use.

I called the best2serve service, the repair center, the HP commercial service and no one is capable of solving this.

I kindly request HP team to provide an urgent and proper solution to my problem - which should be at least, the refund of the HP care pack (which i didn't use and i asked within 15 days to stop as written in the contract), the repair of the Hall sensor and the GPU however as this is a known and unresolved defect it will be again out of order for the next year without a model replacement.

Thank you

Anthony

That sounds really frustrating, especially after spending that much on a gaming laptop and having to deal with overlapping warranties. The Hall sensor issue has been mentioned by quite a few users, so you’re definitely not alone. While you’re waiting for HP to respond, you might want to check out Jenny Mod — it’s unrelated to the repair itself, but it’s a good reminder of how much gaming potential these laptops should be able to handle when they work properly.
