Screenshot 2024-12-14 180535.pngHello HP Community,

I am seeking urgent assistance regarding a serious issue with my HP Victus 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop

I purchased this laptop just over a year ago, and despite moderate usage (mainly for college work), the battery has completely failed. Diagnostics from the HP Battery Check software revealed that the battery has gone through only 166 cycles out of the rated 1000 cycles, which is far below the expected lifespan. The service center has confirmed that the battery needs to be replaced, and they have quoted a cost of ₹11,000 for the replacement.

This is extremely disappointing and frustrating. A battery failure in such a short span indicates a clear manufacturing defect. Unfortunately, my warranty has expired, but I strongly believe this issue does not fall under normal wear and tear. Batteries are designed to last significantly longer, even under regular usage conditions.

I have attached my battery diagnostic report for reference. As a college student, I am unable to afford such an expensive replacement cost for a product I purchased for ₹65,000, trusting HP’s brand reputation.

I am posting here in the hope that someone from HP will address this issue and provide a resolution. A free replacement for the battery would be the fair and reasonable solution in this case. I trust HP values its customers and will take this matter seriously.

Looking forward to a prompt response. Please advise me on the next steps.

Thank you.
